Hello everybody,
while we are still waiting for Namibia to come back online - weekends in Namibia seem to be no-work days, unfortunately - I am thinking about what would be the best solution to transfer the data.
Currently, we push everything to our Google Drive, and send out an invitation to every user so he/she can access to their folder with the respective data. It works, but it feels not so easy at times, especially since Google removed the automatic sync.
So, thinking about an alternative started. I could simply add a link to every user's single frames (like with previews), and once you click there it will download the data. But this will be plenty of work if you have to download many frames.
I could try to package whole projects as a ZIP file, that you can then download. Again, pretty complicated but at least it would reduce the number of needed transfers.
One thing that would be pretty straightforward would be to add a connection via FTP, or maybe, WebDAV. A user would then simply connect either with an FTP client, or even with the Explorer (Windows) or Finder(Mac) and mount his data folder as a local drive, and work as usual.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
