hi there,

in the last days we've lost the internet link (both primary and backup) to the Namibia scopes. The connection is now back online, and funny enough the systems worked through last night without any supervision 😰 😀

There will for sure be some bad images due to gusty winds, so please have a look at your data and ask for refund where appropriate. II only did a quick glance and refunded some that were very obvious 🙂

11 days later

Once again, we lost comm to the systems in Namibia. This time two inverters were damaged by a lightning strike at the nearby farm, cutting power to the switch used to connect to the microwave link. Repairs are underway; our systems seem to be ok so far 🙂

Plenty of rain coming down these days in Namibia...

Lightning strikes, well such things are easy to forget about when planning such a big operation. 🙂 I just wanted to say I love the amount of details you share on the work being done, great development on the software side as well!

Current status Is that we shall get back online by monday. Weather will not be usable anyway For quote a few days in Namibia

Ok update: We are now again online - but weather is not 🙂
as soon as the sky clears up the systems will start on their own again 😉
