Just as you thought that it was safe to go out again, along comes another newby with ridiculously basic questions. Can you guys tell me whether it is possible to download Skygems images that contain full EXIF data. I understand that .FIT and RAW images do not. I can register and stack Skygem images using Deep Sky Stacker but, since I am principally a Mac user (yes, I know) I would like to use a Mac native stacker called Starry Skys Stacker (SSS). However, SSS complains that the downloaded images are missing EXIF data and refuses to co-operate. I have tried converting the images from FIT to TIF but, since the EXIF data is missing from the FIT image it does not solve the problem. Are you aware of any way that I can work around this and get my SSS to work on the Mac.
