Hi there,
you may or might not have seen a little burst of images of comet Leonard (C/2021 A1) being shown and thrown all over the internet. And you might have noticed a little burst of activities on our Veloce 200 in Namibia over the last nights.
I really tried (and am still trying) to fit as many requests for that comet into our systems in one night as possible. I've never seen such a peak of interest and workload on our systems. 😅
So well, a few results in no particular order. Personally, I really like this composition of Rolando Ligustri:
Then there are the masters, Gerald Rhemann and Michael Jäger, which both took some data and made interesting stuff with it. Again, in no particular order:
And many, many more running around.
With this, I want to thank all of you for your support, your patience, your dedication and your perseverance in going out and about doing astronomy remotely. I really, really enjoy seeing all the results coming from our systems, which is so much more than what I would have dreamed of doing myself. It is inspiring to see what we can do with our (relatively) modest hardware and dedication from people all over the world. I am very grateful that I am able to offer this service to all of you 😃
With this, Merry Christmas to all of you, and clear skies 😀
