  • A new approach to process the comet C/2021 A1

My friend Abner found that the comet core moved faster than the tail. So he used his own script to calculate the moving speed of the tail and used the datas to do core and tail alignments separately.

As you can see the result shows great improvement to the snr of the comet tail versus normal PixInsight Comet Alignment process.

Hi all, I have corrected some DEC "tracking errors" of the trails and also improved the tracking of the RA, showing that the sharpest detail(thinest trail in the middle left).
