Hi,
Last year during the “Name an ExoWorld” International Campaign the International Astronomical Union accepted the names “Moldoveanu” and “Negoiu” for the star XO-1 and its exoplanet XO-1b in the Northern Crown constellation. These two names represent the names of highest peaks (2500 m) here in Romania.

On July 4, 2020, I observed the transit of the XO-1b exoplanet. This extrasolar planet is 536 light-years away and is a Hot Jupiter type that revolves around the host star in just 3.9 days at a distance of about 7 million kilometers. I observed the host star for almost 3 hours and I measured the duration of the transit at 165 minutes, the observational report being sent to the Exoplanet Transit Database.
