CDK500 First Light

After some more issues, some of them we need to fix, we got a first light last night in Spain:

It's a 300 sec, Luminance, unguided frame. FWHM in the center was at around 1.1" FWHM (!).

We do have some tilt caused by the focuser, which we will address. Also, the second filter wheel is currently not usable due to a power plug issue. Will fix it in the next days 😀

Now that power is back we will work some more on the CDK500.

Resolved issues so far:

Filter wheels are now all usable. And luckily, mostly parfocal 🙂
Pointing is good
Dome works correctly

Issues we are working on:

We need a huge amount of flats (guess what, genius, with all those filters 😅 )
Tracking is a little disappointing right now. Need to rebalance the system
Guiding scope seems not to work correctly at the moment. We will use it for longer exposures
Camera "freezed" after a long night, causing the whole system to hang. Investigating with MaximDL guys
