lukas_demetz Hi, Lukas,
The new camera is definitely an improvement. No more nasty vertical lines, although those used to cancel well with cosmetic correction. However, with the new camera there is the horizontal bands issue. The problem is that the master darks in the "New Masters may 2021" folder that are used to calibrate the lights have this defect. As a consequence, every image calibrated with these darks, both the Maxim calibrated ones and the user calibrated, exhibit the dark bands, most prominently the Ha ones (maybe because the weaker signal).
So, I suggest to change these master darks as soon as possible to avoid the calibration artefacts to arise. Otherwise the Readout 1 Mhz solution would not be enough to get good calibrated images.
Anyway, as a least resource, the CanonBandingReduction PI script was able to clean my stacked lights.
Thank you for asking and for your involvement to improve this wonderful platform.
Clear skies
Eduardo
